Tasman Air Service Statistics released by Tasman Empire Airways, Limited, for the period from the beginning of the service in April. 1940, to December last, show how successfully the company has overcome the difficulties necessarily associated with its inauguration and with wartime conditions. In that period the company has scheduled 404 Tasman flights and has flown 394 of them. This gives the extraordinary trips flown percentage of 97.52. Passengers carried numbered 5095, freight amounted to 112,7131 b. and mail to 326,2151 b. Passenger miles reached 6,752,260, freight ton miles, 51.689; and mail ton miles, 195,205. Miles flown were 527,760. and hours flown. 3489.10.
