DULL BUT FINE Yesterday was dull with fitful sunshine and a slight north-westerly breeze. Records taken at Timaru Park for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m yesterday were;— Maximum temperature in shade: 73.0. Minimum temperature on grass: 50.2. Wind: N.E.5. Rainfall; Nil. Rainfall to date this year: 2.61 inches. Sunshine: 7 hours. Sunshine to date this year: 135.5 hours. IN OTHER CENTRES Temuka: Yesterday was fine with an easterly wind. The maximum temperature was 79 degrees and the minimum 48. The glass was falling slowly last evening. Waimate (for the 24 hours ended yesterday): Barometer, 29.3; thermometer, maximum 82, minimum 53; rainfall, nil; bright sunshine, 5 hours; wind gauge, miles run In last 24 hours, 50.
