AUXILIARY SERVICES
Conscription Of Women (8 p.m.) CANBERRA, Jan. 27. Women in Australia are to be conscripted for military service. This decision by the full Cabinet has been announced by the Prime Minister (Mr J. Curtin). Legislation will be introduced in Parliament to amend the Defence Act to permit the compulsory call-up of women for all auxiliary services to begin immediately.
