SALE OF HONEY

PRICE ORDER ISSUED (N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON. Jan. 21. The price of honey sold by retailers in areas where wholesale merchants purchasing on a freight paid basis are situated, is fixed by a Price Order gazetted to-day. The order provides for the sale in glass jars and cartons, and this also applies in the bulk prices for jars and tins being higher to provide for the extra cost of containers.

Prices for cartons are 1/2 per lb, 2/3 for 21b, and for bulk cut and wrapped 1/- per lb. Retailers, who have to pay Inward freight for purchases received from the wholesaler, may add the amount of such freight to these prices.
