HARBOUR DEFENCE Candidates, who should be alert men between ages of 30 and 45, are required for entry as Able Seamen for Harbour Defence duties. Successful applicants will be trained in firefighting and will, in first instance, be employed in the Auckland area. Men entered must, however, realise that they are liable for service on Harbour Defence duties in any other capacity (consistent with their medical grading) within New Zealand or overseas as may be necessary to meet naval requirements.
