UNPUBLISHED POEMS SAVED
(N.Z.P.A.) WESTPORT. January 8. Mr Hughie Smith, known as “the ‘Bobby’ Burns of New Zealand.” lost his house and contents at Inangahua Junction by fire to-day. Fortunately, he was able to save his unpublished poems, which were only slightly burned.
