DISPUTE ON COASTAL VESSEL
LAID UP FOR 27 DAYS (N.Z.P.A.) CHRISTCHURCH, Jan. 7. After being laid up at Lyttelton fully loaded for 27 days a small coastal vessel on which a dispute arose concerning alterations to the sailors’ quarters, has signed on a crew, which includes some of the former hands. The crew previously insisted on better quarters being provided. The terms of agreement have not been disclosed, but it is understood the matter will be threshed out in Wellington.
