Guest At Official Luncheon

(N.Z.P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 6. During his recent visit to New Zealand Admiral Sir William F. Halsey, Commander-in-Chief of the South Pacific, spent 24 hours in Wellington. His time in the capital was largely taken up with important discussions with the Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. P. Fraser, the War Cabinet, and the chiefs of services In New Zealand as well as United States commanders. Admiral Halsey also visited the American hospital in the Wellington district and the camps of the United States Forces. He was entertained at luncheon by the Prime Minister, who welcomed him on behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand.
