The Mayor, Mr A. E. 3. Hanan, left Timaru yesterday on a holiday visit to Lake Te Anau.

The Minister of Agriculture and Marketing, the Hon J. G. Barclay, will meet members of the Primary Production Council at a meeting to be held in Oamaru to-morrow. Mr L. V. Talbot, chairman of the South Canterbury Primary Production Council, and Mr A. B. Struthers, honorary secretary, will be present at a similar meeting in Christchurch on Tuesday.
