ST. ANDREWS SALE Approximately 45 head of fat cattle were yarded at the St. Andrews sale yesterday to comprise a penning of mixed quality cows, heifers and steers. The sale opened quietly but firmed as the sale progressed. The average yarding of fat sheep and larnbs realised values in keeping with recent sales. Prices were: Prime heavy steers to £l7 26, light to medium steers £9 17 6 to £l2 26, prime cows £7/17/6 to £lO 12,6, prime heifers £B/2/6 to £lO/17,6. 18-month steers and heifers £6 2 6 to £8 17/6, yearlings £2/5 - to £5/2/6; springing cows £5 to £9.
