RISE IN WOOL PRICE
Resolutions By Farmers He had received numerous resolutions from all over the Dominion protesting against the inaction of the Government in regard to the 15 per cent, increase in the wool price granted by the Imperial Government, said Mr A. P. O’Shea, Dominion secretary of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union. He added that there was considerable restiveness among farmers on this matter, which was being aggravated by the Government's delay in bringing the question to finality. On communicating with the Dominion president, Mr W. W. Mulholland, he had been instructed to hand to the Press a resolution typical of those which were daily being received by the head office of the Farmers’ Union. The resolution reads as follows: "That this executive again represents the call for Government recognition of its moral obligation to pay over to wool producers the 15 per cent, increase payment for wool made by the Imperial Government to New Zealand woolgrowers, and draws public attention to the manner in which the Government has ignored the rights of primary producers to receive the full price for their produce.”
