Mr Leicester C. Webb of the editorial staff of "The Press,” Christchurch, has arrived at Wellington to take up his appointment as Director of Publications under the Army Education Scheme.
Air Commodore A. de T. Neville, C.8.E.. relieved Air Commodore L. M. Isitt. C.8.E., Air Officer commanding, R.NZ.A.F. headquarters, London, on December 23, and the latter officer is now returning to New Zealand for duty with the R.N.Z.A.F. Major F. W. Mothes, M.8.E., New Zealand military liaison officer at Sydney, Major R. E. Sleigh, commanding a composite anti-aircraft regiment, and Major J. A. Paterson, M. 8., Ch.B., are also promoted to the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel, the lastnamed being appointed officer commanding a convalescent depot. Army promotions published in the Gazette include that of LieutenantColonel F. L. Hunt, director of training, to the temporary rank of colonel. Major J. S. Hanna is promoted to the temporary rank of lieutenant-colonel and appointed assistant provost marshal in addition to his present appointment of deputy-assistant adjutant-general (personal services! at Army Headquarters.
