TEMUKA PLUNKET SOCIETY

Contribution To Next Generation Good Physical Equipment For Life "Being in and out amongst many homes in the district," said the Rev. W. F. Nichol, when presiding at the annual meeting of the Plunket Society

yesterday afternoon, "I am sometimes asked for advice on the care of babies, but I can assure you that I invariably refer them to your Plunket Nurse, with the sure knowledge that they will be in good hands. Mothers invariably speak in appreciative terms of the work of the Society and the Plunket Nurse. I am happy to be here to show my admiration and sympathy in the cause for which you stand. The future generation will not only need moral and spiritual equipment to help them in the fight for life, but also a good physical equipment. You are making an excellent contribution to the community in ensuring that the next generation has a healthy mind in a healthy body.” The president (Miss G. A. Brown) thanked the committee for the excellent work it had done. Her work had been made a pleasure by the enthusiasm and energy of the committee. In particular she commended the work done during the year by the honorary secretary (Mrs A. S. Mclnnes). The year had proved a satisfactory one from the point of view of finance, and the society was grateful for the support it had received from the public.
