BRIGHT CONDITIONS Conditions in Timaru yesterday were bright following a frost of 8 degrees. Recjrds for the 24 hours preceding 9 a.m, yesterday were:— Max. temperature in shade 58.6. Min. temperature on grass: 24. Frost: 8 degrees. Wind: N.E.I. Sunshine: 5.5 hours. Sunshine to date this year: 949.6hr5. Rain: Nil. Rainfall to date this year: 8.82m5. IN OTHER CENTRES Temuka— Yesterday was fine with an easterly wind. The maximum temperature was 54 degrees and the minimum 20. Twelve degrees of frost were registered. The glass was following slowly last evening. Waimate (for the 24 hours ended 9 a,m. yesterday)—Barometer 29.8; thermometer, maximum 53.5, minimum 36; frost, 6 degrees; bright sunshine, 5 hours 48 minutes; wind gauge, miles run in last 24 hours, 40.
