ST. JOHN’S CLUB At the official closing of the St. John’s Tennis Club there was a large attendance of members and supporters. The president (the Rev. Father P. Heagney, S.M.) presented the trophies to the winners of the various events, as follow: —

Championships—Men’s singles: D. T. Gardner. Men’s doubles: D. T. Gardner and M. E. Crowley. Women’s singles: Miss E. Gawith. Women’s doubles: Misses E. Gawith and J. Orr. Mixed doubles: M. Kelly and Miss J. Orr. Handicap Events—Men’s singles: Rev. Father Mannix. Men’s doubles, J. Rosevear and M. Kelly. Women’s singles: Miss M. Duming. Women’s doubles, Misses M. Wurm and M. Story. Mixed doubles; L. McKenna and Miss M, Henry.
