VICHY PROTESTS TO AMERICA

(Rec. 12.30 a.m.) LONDON, Mar. 5. The Vichy Government has protested to America against the United States agreement to assist General de Gaulle in French Oceania. The United States Government, by maintaining normal diplomatic relations with Vichy, automatically recognises French sovereignty over all French territory.” A German broadcast made a similar statement from Vichy and described it as official.
