WAIMATE RECORDS BROKEN
High School Swimming Sports Good Performances Four records were broken and one equalled at the annual swimming sports of the Waimate High School on Wednesday afternoon. R, Hutt lowered the 25 yards breaststroke record for senior boys, Betty Kaan lowered the senior girls’ backstroke, and I. Stewart broke the records for the junior boys’ 25 yards freestyle and the junior boys’ backstroke. He also equalled the record for the junior boys’ 25 yards breaststroke. Championships were won as follows; Senior girls, B. Kaan (18 points); senior boys, R. .Jackson (21 points), I. Williams (11 points) was runner-up; junior girls, M. Moir (18 points), P. Black (9 points) was runner-up; junior boys. I. Stewart (20 points), N. Malthus (10 points) was runner-up. tn the senior girls’ championship B. Kaan and J.
