FIVE SHIPS LAUNCHED

Growing Expansion Of U.S. Building (10.20 p.m.) WASHINGTON, Feb. 21. The Maritime Commission announced that five cargo shins aggregating more than 50.000 deadweight tons were launched to-day in United States shipyards. Two of 10,000 tons each were launched earlier this week. The commission added that 14 keels were laid this week and predicted that two launchings daily would be attained by May. TTie announcement follows reports of huge piles of crated war materials piling up on American wharves awaiting urgently needed cargo ships to transport them to the Pacific fronts, therefore it is believed that the present bottleneck in the supply of shipments will shortly be broken.
