“ALADDIN”
J. C. WILLIAMSON’S‘PANTOMIME This morning at Begg’s the box plans will bo opened at 9 o'clock for the production of J. C. Williamson's pantomime “Aladdin.” which is to be staged at the Theatre Royal on Wednesday and Thursday nights and on Thursday afternoon al 2.30. During the progress of “Aladdin” the Great Levante, who plays the role of Abanazar, the wicked magician, will present some magical features, none of which has previously been exploited in New Zealand and which amazed playgoers in London and Australia. It has been the aim of the producers of “Aladdin” to provide refreshing entertainment for grown ups, entertainment that may also be thoroughly enjoyed and understood by children. A thrilling featurette is “The Floating Princess” which displays in a dimly lighted theatre the Emperor’s daughter being floated over the heads of those sitting in the stalls, while all the time she sings one of the song hits of the pantomime. ...
