GAPES VALLEY

RED CROSS ACTIVITIES There was a fair attendance ot members at the monthly’ meeting of the Gapes Valley Red Cross. Mrs Temple presided. Sympathy was extended to Mrs Le Lievre in her illness. Miss Jessie Patrick was congratulated on her approaching marriage. The appeal for biscuits and cakes for soldier patients at the Hanmer Hospital met with a ready response. Mr Linklater’s gift of a fleece for spinning was much appreciated.
