lUTE CABLE NEWS

JAPANESE AIR LOSSES (Rec. 1 a.m.) LONDON, Feb. 20. A communique from General Sir Archibald Wavell’s headquarters in the South-West Pacific states that 14 Japanese planes were destroyed ui attacks on Sourabaya. In attacks on enemy shipping, three hits were scored on one or more enemy cruisers, two on transports and eight near misses on a destroyer. A Batavia communique states that vital points in Bali have been destroyed, and strong opposition is being offered the invaders.
