Japanese Occupation Of Singapore (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) NEW YORK, Feb. 18. The Tokio radio states that the Domei News Agency reports that the Japanese land ana sea forces have completed the occupation of Singapore. Meanwhile 150,000 people who took part in Tokio’s celebration of the victory heard the Prime Minister (General Tojo) broadcast, ‘‘The capture of Singapore signifies the birth of a new Asia, a turning point in world history.” Similar celebrations were held throughout Japan.
