Chinese Resistance Strong (Rec. 10.40) NEW YORK, Feb. 18. The Chungking radio announced that Japan has thrown more than 20,000 men, together with aerial support, into the battle lines in southern Shantung, but the Chinese resistance continues strong at every point. After three days’ fighting the enemy lost 2000 killed and wounded. The radio adds that by guerrilla tactics and behind the lines propaganda work, the Korean rebels are actively campaigning in North China against the Japanese. Scores of Koreans clashed with the Japanese recently near Hsingcai, Hopei Province. Heavy casualties were inflicted on the Japanese and considerable equipment was captured.
