Warning Against Appeasers
The Governor of New York (Mr H. H. Lehman), in a speech at Montreal, issued an emphatic warning against appeasers. He said: “A stalemate in the world would be equally as dangerous as the defeat of democracy.” He added that many things were hampering the Allied war effort, particularly disunity and short-sighted nationalism. There were also some persons still be lleving in appeasement.”
