SALES OF HONEY

Price Order Infringed (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Feb. 19. The Price Tribunal stated to-day that it had been advised that the expected crop of this season's honey was rather smaller than usual. Honey was included in the list of commodities stabilised in price as at September 1, 1941, and in this connection the Tribunal stated it learned with some apprehension that some apiarists were endeavouring to effect sales of honey at prices higher than those which operated during the preceding season. Any sales effected at rates higher than those for last season would constitute a breach of the Price Regulations and leave the parties concerned subject to legal action in terms of the regulations.
