THEFT ALLEGED

ACCOUNTANT REMANDED (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Feb. 16. An accountant, George Lampton Gladding, aged 63. was charged in the Magistrate’s Court that, being employed by the Ostend Road Board, he stole £24. On the application of the police, he was remanded to appear on February 19. The police did not oppose bail, and said that the amount involved exceeded £2OOO. Mr J. H. Luxford, S.M., allowed bail in one surety of £2OO.
