PERSONAL
Mr John Farrell, representing J. C. Williamson Ltd., is visiting Timaru. Cabled advice from Macao has been received by the director of missions of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand, the Rev. D. N. Mac Diarmid, that New Zealand missionaries in Hong Kong are safe. The Presbyterian missionaries known to have been in the city at the time of its fall to the Japanese are Mrs H. Davies, Miss F. G. Ogilvie, tire Rev. J. D. Johnston and Dr. J. A. Loan.
