CHILD KILLED, TWO INJURED (P.A.) NAPIER, Jan. 29. : I A Maori boy, Nathaniel Ivan Ryder. aged 3, was killed, and his sisters. Monica, aged 4. and Mary, aged 2, were injured when thrown under a lorry careering backwards down hill this I morning. They were members of a family of Maoris moving into a house in Napier ion a Chinaman's lorry. The vehicle began to move after it was parked, and on travelling 50 yards, hit a culvert, throwing those riding on the decking into the roadway. It passed over the; boy, inflicting fatal head injuries, and struck the two girls, who suffered | minor injuries.
