CHANGE OF NAME

Press Association (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Jan. 30. A resolution to change the name of the United Press Association, Limited, to the New Zealand Press Association, Limited, was unanimously passed by members of the association at an extraordinary general meeting to-day. It was explained that since the formation of the Association in 1879 news services had been established overseas with similar names, and it was considered desirable that the name >f the United Press Association should be changed in such a way as to make it clear it was a New Zealand organisation.
