Protecting Power
The Swiss Government has replaced the United States Government as the protecting' Power in occupied France, it stated in the House of Commons in reply to a question. Through their representative financial assistance will be provided for British subjects in that area. The Swiss Government has already been supplied with funds for this purpose.
