WAR PREPARATIONS IN BULGARIA

Nazis May Start New Adventure LONDON, December 24. The Moscow radio says a report from Istanbul states that warlike preparations are increasing in Bulgaria. Mobilisation is expected to be imminent. German control over Burgas and Varna is complete, and large numbers of German seamen are arriving. Military commentators in London warn Britons to expect an intensification of the war to follow Hitler’s assumption of supreme command of the German war machine. They agree that the plight of Germany's eastern army has driven Hitler to extreme measures, but they point out that the Fuhrer apparently still believes a Nazi victory is possible and is ready to stake everything—his reputation and even Ills own life—on a new military adventure.
