AIR CASUALTIES
One Accidental Death (P.A.) WELLINGTON. Dec. 8. The following air casualties were announced to-day, all being members of the R.N.Z.A.F.:— Pilot Officer Maurice Osborne Stephens, previously reported missing, believed prisoner of war, now confirmed as prisoner of war. Father, Mr J. T. O. Stephens, Timaru. Sergeant Francis Charles HarrisonSmith. reported missing on air operations. Mother. Mrs O. M. Har-rison-Smith, Auckland. Sergeant Henry Lindsay Saundercock, reported killed as a result of a flying accident. Father, Mr H. W. Saundercock, Waikari, Canterbury. Sergeant Gavin Matthew Goldfinch, missing on air operations. Father, Mr P. J. Goldfinch, Auckland. Sergeant Noel William James Starley, previously reported dangerously injured, now removed from the dangerously ill list. Father, Mr D. W. Starley, Wellington. Pilot Officer Linton William Stevenson, previously reported missing, now reclassified as missing, believed killed in action. Father, Mr F. H. Stevenson, Auckland. Sergeant Robert Alfred Turton, previously reported missing, now reported back to unit unhurt. Mother, Mrs A. Turton, Kakahi. Sergeant Harold Brassey Newton, reported Interned to a neutral country. Father, Mr L. G. Newton, Urenui.
