EMPIRE TITLE HENNEBERRY DISQUALIFIED (Rec. 6.30 pan.) SYDNEY, Nov.. 28. In a fight for the Empire middleweight title at the Sydney Stadium last night, Ron Richards (list 61b) retained his title over Fred Henneberry (list 4.11 b), who was disqualified in the 13th round for butting. There were many exciting moments and the referee showed great patience. The trouble began in the 12th round, when bad, feeling arose after the referee intervened to draw the boxers apart. Although the referee stood between them they refused to break, and the bell sounded while the boxers were ignoring the referee’s instructions. Their seconds rushed into the ring, and after much struggling the boxers were separated. Early in the 13th round Henneberry was cautioned for refusing to break. His head came up several times and the referee promptly declared Richards the winner. Henneberry declined to recognise the refere’s action and sought to continue. Henneberry was but a shadow of his past greatness and he did not win a round. SUCCESSFUL COMEBACK (Rec. 6.30) WASHINGTON, Nov. 27 Fritzie Zlvic (lost 91b) the former welter-weight champion beat Phil Furr (lost 931 b) on points over 10 rounds. Zlvic is making a comeback.
