PRINCE TO TRAIN AS PILOT

Prince Mamud, 22-year-old son of the late Sultan and brother of the present Sultan of Tregganau in the Malay States, was to-day accepted by the Royal Air Force for training as a pilot. On hearing of his acceptance the Prince said: “The exciting work of the Royal Air Force has always attracted me. I felt I could not serve my country better than by becoming an airman. I am delighted to find I have been accepted as a pilot.”
