CHRIST’S COLLEGE DEFEATS TIMARU In their annual match, played in Christchurch yesterday. Christ's College first eleven defeated Timaru Boys’ High School by 10 wickets. <, Batting first Timaru scored 117 (Annear 35, Hart 32, Toynbee 14 and Nicholas 11). P. Schneideman took three wickets for seven runs, S. McC”:bin' four for 22 and Ormond two for 17. College replied with 166 (J. Ellis 41, McGibbin 39 not out, N. Macßeth 21 and Rattray 17). Fisher took three for 55, D. B. Kibb'-’-'vto five for 29 and McLeod two for 36. In their second effort Timaru were dismissed for 67 (Davie 15, Kibblewhite 14 and Annear 10). Deans took three for six, Ormond three for 13 and Schneideman two for 20. College secured the runs necessary for a win without the loss of a wicket.
