Striking Expansion Is Expected
(Rec 6.45 p.m.) RUGBY, Sept. 9. Stating ih the House of Commons that it was too early to make a definite statement whether the British harvest results were retarded by Unfavourable weather, the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Agriculture (Mr Tom Williams) said he expected them to show a striking expansion of production. The efforts of the farming community would then have had the dual effect of adding very materially to the supplies of stable food and guaranteeing a high degree of efficiency in winter feeding Stuffs for animals.
