Those who have been attending the weekly classes throughout the winter, have gained considerable knowledge in first aid, and are becoming a unit that could render practical help if the necessity arose. Additional members would be welcomed to this unit.
Mr D. Jeune, Battalion Commander, in a memorandum to Platoon Commanders advises that a church parade of the Home Guard will be held at Fairlie on Sunday, September 7. All Guardsmen from the surrounding districts are invited to attend. The parade will fall in under a marker for each denomination, and after parading will march to the respective churches.
