Attempts On Life Of King Boris (Rec. 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, / _g. 16. Three attempts have been made against the life of King Boris since the German invasion of Russia. Slavs and the feelings of the people are running high, not only against the Germans but the Bulgarian leaders who arc held responsible for dragging Bulgaria into the war on the wrong side.
King Boris is virtually a prisoner in the country palace '/hich he leaves only on special occasions :nd is then heavily guarded. a number of students and Bulgarian irregulars were arrested and summarily shot after the second and third attempts on the King’s life.
