HEALTH EXCELLENT
Troops In Middle East
(Rec. 7.30 p.m.) RUGBY, August 14. Although the Axis forces in Libya are suffering from an abnormally high incidence of dysentery, the health of the British and Imperial troops in the Middle East is excellent.
The casu" cy "yures for the first six months cf this year show that Here has been no more Illness than in peace time. During K—y, which is one of the worst months for dysentery, the incidence of this disease s only a tenth of the average Incidence in Egypt during the last war. Malaria has been negligible and there have been no cases of typhus. Over the whole of the Middle East th ire has been on an average less than eV t cases a month of the interic group, which Includes typhoid. This satisfactory state of affairs can be attributed to great improvements in hygiene and extra interest taken by all ranks in looking after their health.
