Club For Forces In Cairo Used To Capacity (P.A.) Wellington, juiy 29. Thß great need that had been met by the decision of the National Patriotic Fund Boftrd to establish a New Zealand Forces Club in Cairo Was shown by the fa’ct that the premises were used to capacity all the time, said Brigadier N. S. Falla, who attehdfea the iftsi meeting of the standing committee of the Board, presided over By the Governor-General (Bir Cytll NfeWall). This Was flatly contradicted bv Brigadier Falla atid is ndt terne Out by the plan, which shoWs that 80 pfer cent of the chib premises is available for the men, the remainder beirtg dividfed between the officers, n.e.o.’s and burses. Brigadier Falla in reviewing the activities of the SlUb, Stated that the club had sleeping accommodation for about 50 men, fbr Whom there were a large dinihg rOohi, lounge, bathing facilities, writing room, library, reading room, milk bar, tobacco stall and other amenities. Stocks of goods, sent from NOw Zealand were carried fbr sale to the troops at cost price. Separate dining rooms are provided for the bfflbers and n.c.o’s. The standing committee discussed a number of matters in connection With the club with. Brigadier Falla.
