Temuka—Yesterday was fine and sunny, with a cold westerly breeze. The maximum temperature was 42 degrees and the minimum 22. The glass was falling last evening. Waimate (for the 24 hours ended 9 am. Thursday)—Barometer, 29.7; thermometer, maximtfci 44.5, minimum 35: bright sunshine, 2 hours 24 minutes; wind gauge, miles run in last 24 hours, 49; frost, 3 degrees. Yesterday was sunny with a cold southerly wind in evidence. Dunedin— A sharp frost was experienced yesterday morning and though the day was fine and calm, temperatures remained low, the maximum being 49 degrees. The barometer fell to 29.95 inches (1014 millibars).
