Sunshine to date last year—92l.2hrs. IN OTHER CENTRES Temuka.— Yesterday was fine, but bleak, with a south-west breeze. The maximum temperature was 43 degrees and the minimum 22. Ten degrees of frost were registered. Geraldine.— Overcast and cold conditions prevailed yesterday. The rainfall for the 24 hours,.ended 9 am. was 19 points. Waimate (for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday)—Barometer, 28.6; thermometer, maximum 46, minimum 36; bright sunshine, 12 minutes; frost, 8 degrees; wind gauge, 'miles run in last 24 hours, 150. Yesterday was overcast with a cold southerly wind blowing. Dunedin— There was a heavy snowfall overnight and the city and suburbs were covered yesterday morning. A strong south-west wind brought more snow showers during the morning, but the sky cleared about mid-day. Later there were hail gnd sleet showers, but tjae temperatures moderated and pressure rose to 30.15 inches (1021). The maximum temperature was 49 degrees.
