FAIRLIE

HOME GUARD The Fairlie Company of the Home Guard will attack Winscombe on Saturday. The whole company, including the signal and ambulance units, will take part in the operation. The parade has been called for 2 p.m. to enable the necessary arrangements to be made before the transports leave at 2.15 p.m. The Cricklewood Company will be the defenders of the objective. The quartermaster’s department will sound "cook-house door” about 2.30 pm. During the adjournment points about the attack will be discussed and the faults noted for future reference. Mr D. Jeune (Battalion Commander) with Mr S. Hatton (Battalion Adjutant), will be umpires. The Company Commander (Mr J. Sullivan) said he hoped that the casualty list would not 3 big enough to affect the attendance at Monday night's parade.
