Film Actress Gets Divorce Betty Compton, English-born film and stage actress, was granted a divorce at Key West, Florida, from her husband, James J. Walker, ex-Mayor of New York. This was her second suit, the first alleging that Walker was cruel to her, having failed because the court decided she had not proved cruelty. She now r. ked for a divorce on the grounds that he was a tormentor and bickerer, was violent, and had an ungovernable temper.
