Voice of Hitler on Screen in Pastor Hall
Marius Goring, the 27-year-old English actor is best known as the voice of Hitler in the London radio series, “The Shadow of the Swastika." Previous to the fame he won in this series he had quite a reputation as a rising young stage actor and producer. In the film, "The Case of the Frightened Lady," Marius Goring played the mild mannered, music loving young Lord Willie Lebanon and gave a remarkable psychological study. Following his performance in the film he went to the Old Vic to produce Shakespeare’s “The Tempest,” and play the role of Ariel, no small achievement for a man considered young by normal standards in the acting profession. However, Goring is a remarkably versatile actor for he played the Melvyn Douglas role in the broadcast version of “Ninotchka,” and on the screen the brutal young Nazi storm trooper in "Pastor Hall,” now being released in New Zealand.
