STRIKING PROGRESS

Britain’s Air Training Corps (Rec. 8.24 p.m.) RUGBY, May 21. Striking progress in the air training corps is announced by the Secretary of State for Air (Sir Archibald Sinclair) in the House of Commons. Since the formation of the corps on February 1, said Sir Archibald, 1300 units have been formed, having a total.strength of about 170,000 cadets. Some 4401 candidates for commissions have been accepted by two selection boards for service with the corps. More than 700 units have been affiliated to R.A.F. stations and training was proceeding at all units.
