BASEBALL AT ETON
Canadians On Famous Fields (Rec. 8.10 p.m.) RUGBY, May 13. Canadian soldiers have brought baseball to the playing fields of Eton. A unit of the Second Canadian Division recently visited the College to give a Bren gun carrier demonstration to the Cadet Corps and remained behind to play a few innings in the historic field. Top-hatted Etonian spectators quickly grasped the principles of the game and soon were highly enthusiastic about the game which one of them described as “a kind of roughneck rounders."
