New Zealand Division (PA) WELLINGTON, May 10. The following telegram has been received by General Sir Andrew Russell Inspector-General of the New Zealand Forces, from Lieutenant-Gen-eral Sir Henry Maitland Wilson General Officer Commanding in the Middle East: — . . _ “In the recent campaign in Greece, in a severe ordeal against heavy odds, especially in the air, the New Zealand Division acquitt d itself magnificently, carrying out difficult and complicated withdrawals, and inflicting severe losses on enemy infantry and tanks. Its spirit and fighting qualities are of the highest order and are right up to the traditions of the New Zealand Division in whicn I had the honour to serve on your Andrew Russell has suitably re Maitland Wilson was General Staff Officer, Grade 1. of the New Zealand Division, in 1917-18, and Sir Andrew Russell was General Officer Commanding.
