Mrs W. Allport, Benvenue Avenue, left yesterday on a visit to Mrs J. Little, Cave. Miss Mabel Twhigg, Craighead Diocesan School, will leave to-morrow to make her home in Christchurch. Mrs F. G. Soper, Dunedin has keen appointed Provincial Commissioner of Girl Guides for Otago. Miss Ivy Oliver, “Surrey Downs," Waitawa, who has been on a visit to Dunedin, returned home yesterday. Mrs Leonard Webb, who has been on a visit to Christchurch, has left on her return to Invercargill. Mrs P. A. Elworthy. “Gordon’s Valley,” who is on a visit to her brother and sister-in-law, Dean J. A. Julius and Mrs Julius, Christchurch, will return home to-day. Mrs G. H. R. Ulrich, Wai-iti Road, will leave to-morrow to stay with Miss Hunter-Weston, “Highthorne,’’ Dunedin. It was announced at a meeting of the Mothers' Helpers, Wellington, that her Excellency Lady Newall had gracliously accepted the position of patroness of the society.
