U.S.A. CONSULATE NAVAL OBSERVER TAKES UP DUTIES By Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, January 25. To take up the post of Naval observer to the American Consul at Auckland, Commander J. P. Olding arrived by the Monterey. During the war he commanded the Third U.S. Submarine Division, which trained men and officers for the under-water service. Until his retirement, he said America | had naval attaches in other countries and was now increasing the scope of this service. An appointment similar to his had been made at Singapore and Cape Town, while commander W. D. Causey would arrive shortly as naval attache at Canberra. The New Zealand Express Co. Ltd.
